This collection of poetry is a compilation project, complete with poems that were commissioned and performed throughout the city of Columbus by various organizations. Fant has been commissioned by over 25 organizations to write and perform poems. This book is a
collection of many of those poems, poems that were never published, and a few poems that were published in her first book, Paint, Inside Out (2009), that is no longer in print. Like water takes the shape of whatever it has been poured into, she too has found herself trying to align with her surroundings and experiences, while also learning her own power and flowing within that power. As the stars bear light in the darkness, she believes that we too are called to be the light that permeates the darkness of this world, no matter how dark our lives may become. The light that lives within us is bright enough to permeate every darkness. This collection is an
expression of that darkness, that light, and Fant’s attempt to journey towards alignment and wholeness.
